Hundreds of Armenians living in Iran have fled over the country’s northern border, returning home.

Many other countries are also using Armenia as a transit route to evacuate their citizens from Iran.

Officials in the Armenian border town of Meghri report that hotels in the area are overbooked. Armenia and Iran are long-time allies, with around 60,000 Armenians living in Iran.
